Step by step :

1. Send a regular ultrasound (description, preferably with a picture of the gallbladder) and a photo of the passport,

and also answer the questions:

  • How often are there pains?
  • Previous operations under general anesthesia?
  • Other diseases (diagnosis)?
  • Indicate if you take any medications daily.
  • The patient's height and weight?
  • On what dates are you planning a trip approximately?

2. Expect a response within 24 hours.

3. Receive a letter of preliminary admission to the operation.

4. Register for the operation

* Entry to China - within 3 months from the date of receipt of the visa.

* In case of pain, a new ultrasound scan with a picture of the gallbladder should be done before departure for surgery.

 

A reminder for patients traveling for surgery:

We recommend that you plan your trip for surgery at least 3-4 weeks before departure.

During this time, all analyses and patient health data are studied, admission to surgery is approved, the ward is reserved, the date of the operation is entered into the schedule, and you prepare the necessary documents, purchase air tickets and get a PRC visa.

The hospital stay, including examination, surgery and recovery period, takes 7 days.

The final decision on the operation is made after a comprehensive examination of the patient in our hospital.

  1. When going on a trip, do not take unnecessary and heavy things, as it is not recommended to lift weights after surgery. In this case, bags on wheels are suitable.
  2. If you constantly or periodically take certain pills, do not interrupt the course of treatment, take them with you and continue taking them on the trip as usual.
  3. If, according to the results of a recent ultrasound, inflammation is detected, then the recommended course of treatment (7-14 days) can be continued until arrival at the hospital.
  4. As soon as you have received admission to the operation, switch to dietary nutrition so as not to provoke an attack before the trip, otherwise the operation will have to be postponed for 2-4 weeks.
  5. On the day of arrival, you will be met at Guangzhou airport with a sign with your name, taken to a medical center, placed in a ward.

On the same day, or at 6 a.m. the next day, blood is taken for the necessary tests.

After 22 p.m. and before 10 a.m., eating and drinking are prohibited, this is necessary for a comprehensive examination in the morning. Preoperative diagnosis includes: ultrasound of the abdominal cavity and heart, electrocardiogram, computed tomography of the abdominal cavity, lung radiography. The results of the examination are usually ready within 2-3 hours. If you do not have any contraindications, a package of necessary documents is issued (Consent to surgery, anesthesia, etc.).

The next day, the operation is performed in the morning.

6-8 hours after the operation, you are allowed to get up on your own. It is recommended to walk as much as possible the day after the operation. You will be constantly instructed about the further treatment program.

Discharge from the hospital usually occurs 5-6 days after surgery.

On the day of discharge from the hospital, you will be provided with a complete list of "Discharge Recommendations" about lifestyle and nutrition after surgery. Doctors will also prescribe you a course of medications that you will take for 2 months after surgery. The patient sends the first control ultrasound 3-4 weeks after the end of the postoperative course of medications.

Indications for surgery without gallbladder removal:

  • a single stone of more than 4mm with an echo or a set of stones of any size in the gallbladder
  • a single polyp in the gallbladder of more than 5 mm
  • multiple polyps in the gallbladder of 3 mm or more
  • one or many stones of any size in the bile duct
  • stones that are attached to the walls of the gallbladder or embedded in the walls.

Contraindications to surgery removal of gallstones and polyps from the gallbladder

  • some abdominal operations
  • inflammation of the gallbladder (treatment is prescribed)
  • diabetes mellitus (individually)
  • coronary heart disease
  • tuberculosis
  • cirrhosis of the liver
  • choledocholithiasis
  • the wall thickness of the gallbladder at the bottom is more than 4 mm (treatment is prescribed)
  • the length of the gallbladder is less than 50mm (repeated ultrasound)
  • the patient's weight is more than 120 kg (proper nutrition is prescribed)
  • gallbladder atrophy gallbladder
  • carcinoma
  • intrahepatic gallbladder
  • Mirizzi syndrome
  • is acute! pancreatitis
  • inability to undergo surgery due to general health
  • malignancies in the gallbladder
  • age up to 7 years
 
Age over 60 is NOT a contraindication.
